1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the Lumina Studio website, documentation, community services, supporter plans, hosted online testing, and related digital materials. By purchasing a plan, joining a testing service, or using the website, you agree to these terms.
Lumina Studio is an independent software project. Its open-source core can be run locally without purchasing a plan. A supporter plan is an optional recurring contribution with the hosted, community, feedback, or support benefits described on the Pricing page; it is not a sale of ownership, equity, or a guarantee of a particular feature.
2. Accounts and access
You are responsible for keeping your Patreon, Waffo, Discord, and other account details accurate and secure. Access benefits are attached to the account or supporter identity used at checkout. We may ask you to complete account linking or verification before granting private Discord channels or hosted testing access.
Do not share private invitations, test credentials, or hosted-service access with people who are not entitled to them. We may suspend access when an account is used to bypass plan limits, abuse the service, or distribute private materials.
3. Monthly plans and billing
Supporter plans are billed monthly by the payment platform shown at checkout. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it through that platform. Taxes, exchange rates, and payment-provider fees may be shown separately at checkout.
Canceling stops the next renewal. Unless the payment platform or applicable law requires otherwise, benefits remain available until the end of the already-paid billing period. Payment disputes should first be raised with the platform that processed the charge.
Advisory roadmap vote credits are issued once per monthly billing period according to the selected plan. They provide non-binding input to the maintainers and do not grant ownership, veto power, contractual control over development, or a guarantee that a requested feature will be implemented. Maintainers retain final roadmap responsibility. Unused votes do not roll over, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or sold.
4. Hosted testing service
The Hosted Beta plan provides access to the online testing service while that service is available. The hosted service is scheduled to close after the October 2026 open-source release. Hosted Beta access is therefore time-limited and is not a lifetime service.
Service availability can be affected by maintenance, capacity, network conditions, security incidents, or changes to the testing environment. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material interruptions through the relevant community channels.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Because supporter benefits may be delivered immediately, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or the payment platform's policy. Contact us promptly if you were charged twice, cannot access a paid benefit because of a technical error, or need help canceling a subscription.
Requests can be sent to min6550671@gmail.com. Include the platform, transaction date, and supporter account identifier. Never send a password or full payment card number.
6. Intellectual property and open source
The Lumina Studio source code is released under the license stated in the relevant repository. The website, brand assets, documentation, screenshots, and other materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless a different license is stated.
Purchasing a supporter plan does not change the open-source license or the right to use the open-source core locally. Paid access applies only to the hosted, community, feedback, or support benefits listed for the selected plan.
The October 2026 release plan concerns the software source code. It does not promise a packaged installer, permanent hosted infrastructure, or continued access to private development materials.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- reverse engineer or attack the hosted service for purposes unrelated to testing;
- use automation to exhaust shared resources or interfere with other users;
- redistribute private builds, private test data, or paid-only community content;
- use the service to violate applicable laws or another person's rights.
8. Service changes and liability
Lumina Studio is developed and operated on a best-effort basis. Features, prices, community workflows, and access methods may change as the project moves from hosted testing to open source. We will update the public pages when a change materially affects an active plan.
To the extent permitted by law, the website and hosted testing service are provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
